In a speech in 2011, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton remarked, “It’s time for the United States to start thinking of Iraq as a business opportunity.”
This is open confirmation of the passage in the Communist Manifesto that says, “…the bourgeoisie has at last, since the establishment of Modern Industry and of the world market, conquered for itself, in the modern representative State, exclusive political sway. The executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie.”
The country of Iraq and about one million people were destroyed in order to open a new market for business interests, as Hillary glibly admits. The truth is that the United States and both its political parties serve a small group of Wall Street institutions, and working people in the US have more in common with working people in Iraq than with their own domestic capitalists.
